Cherub 5 was working on her Nature Journal today, after observing many Bumble Bees on a Butterfly Bush just outside our Living Room windows. She drew a picture, and then we (together) hunted online for information about Bumble Bees. Then she wanted a Poem ... and a "real picture" to include with her entry (although we were unable to find one on a PURPLE Butterfly Bush like ours). Above is the photo we found ... and here is the really cute poem. Enjoy.
Bumble Bee
Today I saw a bumblebee.
He was on a pretty rose.
When I leaned in to look at him,
he stung me on my nose!
I wasn’t gonna squish him,
only watch and see …
but I’ll never get THAT close again
to a grouchy grumble-bee.
