How can we be sure ?

* The thermometer read 29 at 8am this morning.

The ground was covered in
a thick icy coating ...
a beautiful, sparkling First Frost.
*
Not only was this our First Frost.
It was also our first Hard Freeze.
*
Winter won't be long in coming now ...
UPDATE: Thursday
We had another hard freeze last night.
Despite covering, a few of our brocolli plants
and all winter squash plants were killed.
Oh well -- there's always next year, right ??
