Latest Projects

Yesterday I learned to use my new pressure canner
to preserve greenbeans from our garden.
(Thanks MamaLion, for the lessons and helpful hints !!)
We now have 7 quarts of canned greenbeans,
and there are a lot more to "put up" in the coming days.

And this morning, we are making Strawberry Preserves,

canned with our waterbath canner.

There is a great sense of accomplishment (and security) that

comes from seeing the pantry filled bit by bit to full with

fresh-from-the-garden food, isn't there ?!?!
