We used to go up into the mountains to Chilhowee Lake to swim many times each summer. But now it is a much longer drive - approximately 1 1/2 hour each way.
So we set out today in search of a new place to swim. And that adventure took us to Fort Loudoun.
The lake itself is gorgeous !! And the park is extremely clean - almost too nice to believe !! There is a nice simming area that is close to parking, close to restrooms, and is grassy nearly right up to the waters edge.
So - someday soon we will try it out and we'll let you know how it turns out.
