We visited Fort Loudoun State Park this afternoon, just to see what there is to see. There is a nice visitor center (it closed at 430p so we did not get to go in) and a whole Fort Loudoun replica.
The Fort site dates back to the Seven Years War (French & Indian War).
Apparently they do Living History weekends throughout the year, and also host several "presentations" nearly every day.
We explored a little on our own, and definately intend to return. This will make a nice addition to our American History and Local History studies too !!
